Marie “Mary” Ann Rieck was a Charter Member of Juneau Igloo No. 6.

She was born on June 20, 1867 in Kitchner, Ontario, Canada. She immigrated to the United States in 1875.

She married John Reck in Strawberry Point, Iowa on October 3, 1888. They had five children, Dorothy Julia born on March 9 1890 in Tacoma, Washington, William John was born in April 1, 1893 in Roy, Washington, Marie G. born on
December 29, 1894 in Washington and Mamie G. born in 1895. The family moved from Tacoma, Washington to Juneau in March of 1898 and Sidonia Elizabeth was born in February 10, 1900 in Juneau, Alaska.

Mary died in Juneau on December 5, 1940.
