POA Friday Movie Night

The evening will start with the short film "Greetings From Juneau" a 14 minute film with footage of Juneau and the Mendenhall Glacier, filmed about 35 years ago.

The Main feature is "Cloud Nine" a 2 hour documentary about the sail boat Cloud Nine's third attempt to navigate the Northwest passage in 2007. Cloud Nine is a 57-foot Bowman ketch Captained by the owner Roger Swanson, his wife Gaynelle, and their six crew. This film is professionally done and includes music and is narrated by Roger.

After the voyage, Cloud Nine docked in Kodiak until the following year when it came to Juneau on the way to Seattle. While in Juneau our very own Tom Dawson met the Swanson's and had dinner on Cloud Nine with them, we will hear Tom's story.
