Short Film, Living Wild:

The evening will start with the 5 minute short film Living Wild.

A submission to the Anchorage International Film Fest, Living Wild's K-FOX News takes a big poke at the lively characters that run the local news cycle lately.

Directed, shot and cut by Daniel Hernandez. Written by Dorene Lorenz. Starring Bella Coley, Dorene Lorenz, Janice Cox, Kelly Whitworth, Glenn Diamond, Joel Loosli, Antonio Garcia.

Feature Movie, Sugar Mountain:

1 hour, 46 minutes.

The last film to use the Alaska Film Incentive Program was Sugar Mountain - filmed in Seward and at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.  

Two brothers, down on their luck, fake a disappearance in the Alaskan wilderness so they'll have a great survival story to sell, but the hoax turns out to be more real than they planned.

It features The Princess Bride’s Cary Elwes, Aquaman's Jason Mamoa, and POA Women’s Igloo President Dorene Lorenz.  

Parent’s Guide rates film as “Moderate” in sec & nudity, violence & gore, profanity, frightening & intense scenes and “mild” in alcohol, drugs & smoking.
