Juneau’s Gold Rush Days celebrates our strong mining and logging traditions with several days of activities, demonstrations and competitions. 

The Pioneers of Alaska Juneau Igloo participated in passing pioneering skills along to the next generation by manning the Children’s Mini-Excavator Challenge.  

Members demonstrated basic operator skills and allowed the local kids an opportunity to experience the joys of heavy equipment. 

It was difficult to tell who had the better time, the members, the kids or the professional operator parents who got to show off their skills with their family and friends.
